Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 48 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a $75.00 cancellation fee.
Private practice therapy is not covered under OHIP or Medicare; however, most individuals who are employed by an organization have some healthcare benefits. Others have private and group insurance that may cover a portion of the fees. It is up to each client to ensure that they have coverage for the specific clinician that they have an upcoming appointment with.
Fees for therapy will be outlined at the beginning of the first session and payment will be made at the end of each session by e-transfer or credit card. It is the responsibility of the client to seek reimbursement from their insurance company unless otherwise arranged. We will provide an invoice to you for treatment or mail the invoice directly to a third-party payee if they have contracted with us to pay the cost of your therapy. There will also be costs incurred for the completing of letters, reports, or legal documents.
